This year the LWTG community selected Board Member Tim Diedecker to receive the Miss Mary Award.

“Tim brings a level of expertise and knowledge that is so incredibly valuable to our Board and the greater LWTG community. In addition to all the normal tasks of the Technology Chair, Tim tackled some big projects: he solved our frustrating email bounce-back issue, facilitated our email migration to .org, spearheaded the transfer of all accounts to the Google platform, and updated our classroom technology.”

2026 co-recipient - britt hykal
LWTG Teachers have chosen Britt Hykal to be a co-recipient of the 2026 Teacher Kris Parenting Education Award. Britt enthusiastically attended nearly every evening parent ed event and actively participated in class. By openly sharing her growth as a parent, she inspired others to join in. Throughout the year, she consistently built strong relationships, discussed challenges, and welcomed coaching from her peers. An exemplary member of LWTG, Britt embodies the spirit of this award. We’re so thankful for her consistent attendance, lively participation and thoughtful ideas. Congratulations, Britt!
2026 co-recipient - angela shih-wen chen
The LWTG Teachers have chosen Angela Shih-wen Chen to be the recipient of the 2026 Teacher Kris Parenting Education Award. Angela has been a constant presence at LWTG Parent Ed events over the last few years. Both in the classroom and at evening PE events, she consistently added to the conversation, asking thought-provoking and often witty questions that elevated our discussions. Angela’s hard work was rewarded by the relationships she made throughout our community. She has been a wonderful addition to our school. We are thankful for her enthusiastic dedication to parenting ed and to our program. Congratulations, Angela!
