In the toddler classroom, each week of the school year has a special theme, often based upon the seasons. That theme is expressed throughout the classroom with toddler-appropriate art projects, science exploration, fine-motor activities, sensory play and water-table fun.
During Circle Time, the whole class gathers to sing silly songs, learn finger plays and listen to stories. This together time stimulates imagination and creative expression and develops a sense of community. It also increases toddlers’ attention and develops the skill of following directions. If you and your child have enjoyed spending time with other parents in a playgroup setting, LWTG is an ideal next step as your child enters toddler-hood.

Every year, LWTG sponsors several professional speakers who share their expertise on a variety of parenting topics - Screen Savvy Parenting, Teaching Kids about Money, Gentle Sleep, Empowering vs. Enabling, Social/Emotional Health, etc.
We also have a fun-filled calendar of special community-building events for the whole family. These events become some families’ first rhythms: an annual Fall hike, a lively puppet show, a silly dance party, a pumpkin patch outing, and our Spring Carnival. First-time parents with their toddler one year return with little siblings – enjoying cherished Toddler Group traditions year after year.
