Our Board of Directors consists of volunteer parents and caregivers who meet monthly to manage our daily operations, establish policies and procedures, and determine tuition and program fees. The Board also organizes fundraisers and authorizes purchases. Board members are occasionally asked to represent LWTG at community events. Board positions are held from July to June of the next year.
- The PRESIDENT oversees the LWTG Board and the general workings of LWTG and ensures that LWTG's bylaws are followed.
- The VICE PRESIDENT assists the President, manages adherence to risk management guidelines, orders our classroom supplies, and manages our annual holiday donations to Olive Crest.
- The SECRETARY manages the administrative tasks of the LWTG Board, oversees Classroom Coordinators and organizes the annual Preschool Fair.
- The TREASURER ensures that all of LWTG’s financial obligations are met, sets the annual budget, reports financial status to the Board during monthly meetings and handles all incoming finances.
- The ADVOCACY CHAIR champions parenting education and cooperative preschools, builds strong community support and drives awareness to the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges, state legislators and the Governor, and strategically explores fundraising opportunities for our program.
- The TECHOLOGY CHAIR troubleshoots all technical issues, manages and maintains board and teacher email addresses and Google Workspace accounts, and manages a list of all co-op logins and passwords.
- The FUNDRAISER CHAIR plans and oversees all fundraising activities.
- The PUBLICITY CHAIR manages all social media posts and our logo wear storefront.
- Our LIBRARIANS oversee the LWTG library and maintain current book inventory and distribution.
While not technically on our Board of Directors, our volunteer CLASSROOM COORDINATORS generously offer their time and energy to our program. They represent their class at one board meeting per quarter and help with fundraising.
