miss mary award

Each year, the Miss Mary Award is granted to an individual in recognition of outstanding service to LWTG. Any volunteer who goes beyond the “call of duty” may be a candidate for this service award.

miss mary 2023 – jenni freeburg

This year the LWTG community selected Board Member Jenni Freeburg to receive the Miss Mary Award. Jenni, a mom of three, held two positions: Co-Treasurer and Technology Chair! Always timely in paying our bills and solving our tech questions, she also helped with other aspects of our program. She's a great sounding board to our staff, and we appreciate all the ideas she shares. We are so fortunate to have a committed, hard-working volunteer like Jenni.

"Thanks to Jenni for carrying the burden of two board positions this year. Having Jenni's kind, thoughtful approach to sharing information about technology issues, struggles, and problem solving has been extremely helpful to the teachers and other board members. We appreciate her so much."

"When no one filled the Technology board position, Jenni stepped up. She navigated email account transitions, moved us to a new Microsoft platform and answered a myriad of login questions, all while also serving as Co-Treasurer. In addition, Jenni is a great sounding board and problem solver."
